Pear cranberry cobbler

1 Tbsp butter
5 medium pears, peeled, cored, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1 cup cranberries
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger

Biscuit Topping:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted

In a skillet, melt butter. 
Add the pears, saute 3 min.
Stir in cranberries, brown sugar, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, cornstarch,
lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger.
Spoon into 1 1/2 quart baking dish.

Biscuit: heat oven to 325.  Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder.
Stir in milk & egg until just moistened, stir in butter.
Spoon over pear filling; cook over baking sheet.
Bake 55 - 60 min. Cool slightly.
